Jeremiah 3:13
Only acknowledge yours iniquity, that you have transgressed against the LORD your God, and have scattered your ways to the strangers under every green tree, and all of you have not obeyed my voice, says the LORD.

நீயோ, உன் தேவனாகிய கர்த்தருக்கு விரோதமாய்த் துரோகம்செய்து, பச்சையான எல்லா மரத்தின்கீழும் அந்நியருடன் சோரமார்க்கமாய் நடந்து, உன் அக்கிரமத்தையும், என் சத்தத்தைக் கேட்காமல்போனதையும் ஒத்துக்கொள் என்று கர்த்தர் சொல்லுகிறார்.

ஆனால் நீ இதுவரை செய்த உன் பாவத்தை ஒப்புக்கொள்ளவேண்டும். நீ உனது தேவனாகிய கர்த்தருக்கு எதிராகத் திரும்பினாய், அதுவே உன் பாவம், மற்ற நாடுகளிலிருந்து வந்த ஜனங்களின் விக்கிரகங்களை நீ தொழுதுகொண்டாய். ஒவ்வொரு பச்சையான மரத்தின் அடியிலும் உள்ள விக்கிரகங்களைத் தொழுதுகொண்டாய். நீ எனக்கு அடிபணியவில்லை’” என்று கர்த்தர் சொல்லுகிறார்.
