Jeremiah 22:6
For thus says the LORD unto the king's house of Judah; You are Gilead unto me, and the head of Lebanon: yet surely I will make you a wilderness, and cities which are not inhabited.

யூதா ராஜாவின் அரண்மனையைக் குறித்துக் கர்த்தர்: நீ எனக்குக் கீலேயாத்தைப்போலவும் லீபனோனின் கொடுமுடியைப்போலவும் இருக்கிறாய்; ஆனாலும் மெய்யாகவே நான் உன்னை வனாந்திரத்தைப்போலவும், குடியில்லாத பட்டணங்களைப்போலவும் ஆக்கிவிடுவேன்.

யூதாவின் அரசர்கள் வாழ்கிற அரண்மனையைப்பற்றி கர்த்தர் இவற்றைத் தான் கூறுகிறார்: “அரண்மனை உயரமானது. கீலேயாத் காடுகளைப் போன்று உயரமானது. லீபனோனின் மலையைப்போன்று அரண்மனை உயரமானது. ஆனால் நான் அதனை வனாந்தரம் போன்று ஆக்குவேன். இந்த அரண்மனை ஆளில்லாத நகரத்தை போன்று காலியாகும்.
