Jeremiah 11:20
But, O LORD of hosts, that judge righteously, that try the reins and the heart, let me see your vengeance on them: for unto you have I revealed my cause.

சேனைகளின் கர்த்தாவே, உள்ளத்தின் எண்ணங்களையும் இருதயத்தையும் சோதித்தறிகிற நீதியுள்ள நியாயாதிபதியே, நீர் அவர்களுக்கு நீதி செய்கிறதைப் பார்ப்பேனாக; என் வழக்கை உமக்கு வெளிப்படுத்திவிட்டேன் என்றேன்.

ஆனால் கர்த்தாவே! நீர் நியாயமான நீதிபதி, மனிதர்களின் மனதையும், இதயத்தையும், எப்படி சோதிக்க வேண்டும் என்பதை அறிவீர். என்னுடைய வாதங்களை நான் உமக்குச் சொல்வேன். நான் அவர்களுக்கு ஏற்ற தண்டனையைக் கொடுக்கும்படி உம்மை அனுமதிப்பேன்.
