Isaiah 3:8
For Jerusalem is ruined, and Judah is fallen: because their tongue and their doings are against the LORD, to provoke the eyes of his glory.

ஏனென்றால் எருசலேம் பாழாக்கப்பட்டது, யூதா விழுந்துபோனது; அவர்களுடைய நாவும், அவர்கள் செயல்களும், கர்த்தருடைய மகிமையின் கண்களுக்கு எரிச்சல் உண்டாக்கத்தக்கதாக அவருக்கு விரோதமாயிருக்கிறது.

எருசலேம் விழுந்து தீமைசெய்ததால் இவ்வாறு நடைபெறும். யூதா விழுந்துவிட்டது. அது தேவனைப் பின்பற்றுவதை விட்டுவிட்டது. அவர்கள் சொல்லுகிறவையும், செய்கிறவையும் கர்த்தருக்கு எதிரானவை. கர்த்தருடைய மகிமையான கண்கள் இவை அனைத்தையும் காண்கின்றது.
