Hebrews 12:2

நாம் இயேசுவை முன்மாதிரியாகக்கொண்டு பின்பற்ற வேண்டும். நம் விசுவாசத்தின் தலைவரே இயேசுதான். நம் விசுவாசத்தை அவர் முழுமையாக்குகிறார். அவர் சிலுவையில் துன்புற்று மரணம் அடைந்தார். ஆனால் சிலுவையின் அவமானத்தைப் பொருட்படுத்தாமல் சிலுவையின் துன்பங்களை அவர் ஏற்றுக்கொண்டார். தேவன் அவருக்கு முன்னால் வைக்கப்போகிற மகிழ்ச்சிக்காகவே இத்தனையையும் ஏற்றுக்கொண்டார். எனவே இப்போது அவர் தேவனுடைய வலது புறத்தில் வீற்றிருக்கிறார்.
