Hebrews 10:8
Above when he said, Sacrifice and offering and burnt offerings and offering for sin you would not, neither had pleasure therein; which are offered by the law;

நியாயப்பிரமாணத்தின்படி செலுத்தப்பட்டுவருகிற பலிகளைக்குறித்து மேலே சொன்னதுபோல: பலியையும், காணிக்கையையும், சர்வாங்கதகனபலிகளையும், பாவநிவாரணபலிகளையும் நீர் விரும்பவில்லை, அவைகள் உமக்குப் பிரியமானது இல்லை என்று சொன்னபின்பு:

“நீர் பலிகளையும் காணிக்கைகளையும் விரும்புவதில்லை. மிருகங்களைக் கொன்றும் எரித்தும் கொடுக்கப்படுகிற பலிகளாலும் பாவநிவாரணபலிகளாலும் நீர் திருப்தியுறவில்லை” (இந்தப் பலிகள் எல்லாம் கட்டளையிடப்பட்டிருந்தாலும் கூட) என்று முதலில் அவர் சொன்னார்.
