Ezra 7:6
This Ezra went up from Babylon; and he was a ready scribe in the law of Moses, which the LORD God of Israel had given: and the king granted him all his request, according to the hand of the LORD his God upon him.

இந்த எஸ்றா இஸ்ரவேலின் தேவனாகிய கர்த்தர் அருளிய மோசேயின் நியாயப்பிரமாணத்திலே தேறின வேதபாரகனாக இருந்தான்; அவனுடைய தேவனாகிய கர்த்தருடைய கரம் அவன்மேல் இருந்ததால், அவன் கேட்டவைகளையெல்லாம் ராஜா அவனுக்குக் கொடுத்தான்.

எஸ்றா எருசலேமிற்குப் பாபிலோனில் இருந்து வந்தான். எஸ்றா ஒரு போதகன். அவனுக்கு மோசேயின் சட்டங்கள் நன்றாகத் தெரியும். மோசேயின் சட்டங்கள் இஸ்ரவேலின் தேவனாகிய கர்த்தரால் கொடுக்கப்பட்டவை. அரசனான அர்தசஷ்டா எஸ்றா கேட்ட எல்லாவற்றையும் கொடுத்தான். ஏனென்றால், கர்த்தர் எஸ்றாவோடு இருந்தார்.
