Exodus 22:11
Then shall an oath of the LORD be between them both, that he has not put his hand unto his neighbour's goods; and the owner of it shall accept thereof, and he shall not make it good.

அவன் தான் பிறனுடைய பொருளை அபகரிக்கவில்லையென்று கர்த்தரின் நாமத்தில் ஆணையிட்டால் அவர்கள் இருவருக்கும் அதுவே நியாயம்தீர்க்கட்டும்; உடையவன் அதை அங்கீகரிக்கவேண்டும்; மற்றவன் பதிலளிக்கத்தேவையில்லை.

அதைப் பெற்றுகொண்டவன் அம்மிருகத்தைத் தான் திருடவில்லை என்பதை விளக்க வேண்டும். அது உண்மையானால் கர்த்தரின் சந்நிதியில் சென்று நான் திருடவில்லை என்று ஆணையிட வேண்டும். மிருகத்தின் உரிமையாளனும் அதை ஏற்றுக்கொள்ள வேண்டும். அண்டை வீட்டுக்காரன் அந்த மிருகத்திற்காக எந்தப் பணமும் செலுத்த தேவையில்லை.
