சிறிது நேரத்திற்குப் பிறகு மோசேயின் கைகள் சோர்வடைந்தன. மோசேயோடு சென்ற மனிதர்கள் மோசேயின் கைகளைத் தூக்கியவாறே வைத்திருப்பதற்கு ஒரு வழி காண முயன்றார்கள். ஒரு பெரிய பாறையை மோசேக்குக் கீழே நகர்த்தி, அவனை அதில் உட்காரச் செய்தார்கள். பின் ஆரோனும், ஊரும் மோசேயின் கைகளைத் தூக்கிப் பிடித்தார்கள். ஆரோன் மோசேக்கு ஒரு புறமாகவும், ஊர் அவனுக்கு மறுபுறமாகவும் நின்றிருந்தனர். சூரியன் மறையும் வரைக்கும் அவர்கள் இவ்வாறே அவனுடைய கைகளைப் பிடித்திருந்தார்கள்.
