And in every province, and in every city, anywhere the king's commandment and his decree came, the Jews had joy and gladness, a feast and a good day. And many of the people of the land became Jews; for the fear of the Jews fell upon them.

ராஜாவின் வார்த்தையும் அவனுடைய கட்டளையும் போய்ச்சேர்ந்த எல்லா நாடுகளிலும், எல்லாப் பட்டணங்களிலும், யூதர்களுக்குள்ளே அது மகிழ்ச்சியும், களிப்பும், விருந்துண்டு கொண்டாடும் நல்ல நாளுமாக இருந்தது; யூதர்களுக்குப் பயப்படுகிற பயம் தேசத்து மக்களைப் பிடித்ததால், அவர்களில் அநேகர் யூத மார்க்கத்தில் இணைந்தார்கள்.
