Then took Haman the apparel and the horse, and arrayed Mordecai, and brought him on horseback through the street of the city, and proclaimed before him, Thus shall it be done unto the man whom the king delights to honour.

அப்படியே ஆமான் ஆடையையும் குதிரையையும் கொண்டுபோய், மொர்தெகாயை அலங்கரித்து, அவனைக் குதிரையின்மேல் ஏற்றி, நகரவீதியில் உலாவரும்படிச்செய்து, ராஜா கனப்படுத்த விரும்புகிற மனிதனுக்கு இப்படியே செய்யப்படும் என்று அவனுக்கு முன்பாகக் கூறினான்.

எனவே ஆமான் ஆடையையும், குதிரையையும் எடுத்தான். ஆடையை மொர்தெகாய்க்கு அணிவித்தான். பிறகு அவனை குதிரையில் உட்கார வைத்து நகர வீதிகளில் உலாகொண்டுபோனான். ஆமான் மொர்தெகாய் பற்றி, “இதுபோல் தான் அரசன் பெருமைப்படுத்த விரும்புகிற மனிதன் நடத்தப்பட வேண்டும்” என்று அறிவித்தான்.
