And Haman said unto king Ahasuerus, There is a certain people scattered abroad and dispersed among the people in all the provinces of your kingdom; and their laws are diverse from all people; neither keep they the king's laws: therefore it is not for the king's profit to suffer them.

அப்பொழுது ஆமான் அகாஸ்வேரு ராஜாவை நோக்கி: உம்முடைய ராஜ்ஜியத்தின் எல்லா நாடுகளிலுமுள்ள மக்களுக்குள்ளே ஒருவித மக்கள் சிதறி பரவியிருக்கிறார்கள்; அவர்களுடைய வழக்கங்கள் எல்லா மக்களுடைய வழக்கங்களுக்கும் வித்தியாசமாக இருக்கிறது; அவர்கள் ராஜாவின் சட்டங்களைக் கைக்கொள்ளுவதில்லை; ஆகையால் அவர்களை இப்படி விட்டிருக்கிறது ராஜாவிற்கு நியாயமல்ல.
