1 Peter 2:19
For this deserves giving of thanks, if a man for conscience toward God endure grief, suffering wrongfully.

ஏனென்றால், ஒருவன் அநியாயமாகப் பாடுகள்படும்போது தேவனை நினைத்துக்கொண்டே உபத்திரவங்களைப் பொறுமையாகச் சகித்துக்கொண்டால் அதுவே தேவனுக்குப் பிரியமாக இருக்கும்.

ஒருவன் எந்தத் தவறும் செய்யாதபோதும் அவன் துன்பப்பட வேண்டியதிருக்கும். ஒருவன் தேவனை எண்ணிக்கொண்டே, துன்பத்தை அனுபவிப்பானாயின், அது தேவனை சந்தோஷப்படுத்தும்.
