Ecclesiastes 5:10
He that loves silver shall not be satisfied with silver; nor he that loves abundance with increase: this is also vanity.

பணப்பிரியன் பணத்தினால் திருப்தியடைவதில்லை; செல்வப்பிரியன் செல்வப்பெருக்கினால் திருப்தியடைவதில்லை; இதுவும் மாயையே.

செல்வத்தையே விரும்புகிற ஒருவன் தன்னிடமுள்ள செல்வத்தால் மட்டும் திருப்தி அடையமாட்டான். அவன் மேலும் மேலும் செல்வத்தைப் பெற்றாலும் திருப்தி அடையமாட்டான். இதுவும் அர்த்தமற்றது.
