Deuteronomy 19:2
You shall separate three cities for you in the midst of your land, which the LORD your God gives you to possess it.

நீ உன் தேவனாகிய கர்த்தர் உனக்குச் சொந்தமாகக் கொடுக்கும் உன் தேசத்தின் நடுவிலே, உனக்காக மூன்று பட்டணங்களைப் பிரித்துவைக்கக்கடவாய்.

நீங்கள் அந்த தேசத்தை மூன்று பிரிவுகளாக பிரித்துக்கொள்ள வேண்டும். பின் ஒவ்வொரு பிரிவிலும் எல்லாருக்கும் மையமான ஒரு நகரத்தைத் தேர்ந்தெடுத்து, அந்த நகரங்களுக்குச் சாலைகளையும், வீதிகளையும் அமைத்துக்கொள்ளுங்கள். அப்போது தற்செயலாக மற்றவர்களைக் கொலை செய்திடும் நபர் பாதுகாப்பாய் அந்நகருக்குள் ஓடிப்போகலாம்.
