I will break also the bar of Damascus, and cut off the inhabitant from the plain of Aven, and him that holds the sceptre from the house of Eden: and the people of Syria shall go into captivity unto Kir, says the LORD.

“நான் தமஸ்குவின் வாசலில் போடப்பட்டுள்ள தாழ்ப்பாளை உடைப்பேன். நான் ஆவேன் பள்ளதாக்கின் சிங்காசனத்தில் உட்கார்ந்திருப்பவனை அழிப்பேன். நான் பெத்ஏதேனிலிருந்து வல்லமையின் சின்னத்தை விலக்கிப்போடுவேன். சீரியாவின் ஜனங்கள் தோற்றகடிக்கப்படுவார்கள். ஜனங்கள் அவர்களைக் கீர் நாட்டுக்குக் கொண்டு செல்வார்கள்” என்று கர்த்தர் கூறினார்.
