Acts 5:4
While it remained, was it not yours own? and after it was sold, was it not in yours own power? why have you conceived this thing in yours heart? you have not lied unto men, but unto God.

அதை விற்கும் முன்னே அது உன்னுடையதாயிருக்கவில்லையோ? அதை விற்றப்பின்பும் அதின் கிரயப்பணம் உன்னிடத்திலிருக்கவில்லையோ? நீ உன் இருதயத்திலே இப்படிப்பட்ட எண்ணம் கொண்டதென்ன? நீ மனிதனிடத்தில் இல்லை, தேவனிடத்தில் பொய்சொன்னாய் என்றான்.

நீ நிலத்தை விற்கும் முன்பு அது உனக்கு உரியதாக இருந்தது. நீ அதனை விற்ற பிறகும் அந்தப் பணத்தை நீ விரும்பிய வகையில் செலவழித்திருக்கலாம். ஏன் இந்தத் தீய செயலைச் செய்வதற்கு எண்ணினாய்? நீ தேவனிடம் பொய் கூறினாய், மனிதரிடம் அல்ல!” என்றான்.
