Acts 23:29
Whom I perceived to be accused of questions of their law, but to have nothing laid to his charge worthy of death or of bonds.

இவன் அவர்களுடைய வேதத்திற்கு அடுத்த காரியங்களைக்குறித்துக் குற்றஞ்சாட்டப்பட்டவனென்று அறிந்ததேயல்லாமல், மரணத்திற்காவது கைதுசெய்வதற்காவது ஏற்ற குற்றம் இவனிடத்தில் இல்லையென்று கண்டறிந்தேன்.

எனவே யூத சங்கத்திற்கு முன்னால் அவனைக் கொண்டு வந்தேன். இதுவே நான் கண்டது. தவறான சில காரியங்களைப் பவுல் செய்ததாக யூதர்கள் கூறுகிறார்கள். ஆனால் அந்தக் குற்றச்சாட்டுகள் அவர்களது சொந்த யூதவிதிகளைப் பற்றியது. இந்த விஷயங்கள் எதுவும் சிறைத் தண்டனைக்கோ மரண தண்டனைக்கோ ஏற்றவை அல்ல.
