Acts 12:23
And immediately the angel of the Lord stroke him, because he gave not God the glory: and he was eaten of worms, and gave up the spirit.

அவன் தேவனுக்கு மகிமையைச் செலுத்தாதபடியினால் உடனே கர்த்தருடைய தூதன் அவனை அடித்தான்; அவன் புழுப்புழுத்து மரித்தான்.

ஏரோது இந்த வாழ்த்தைத் தனக்குரியதாக ஏற்றுக்கொண்டு, தேவனுக்குரிய மகிமையை அளிக்கவில்லை. எனவே கர்த்தரின் தூதன் ஒருவன் அவனை நோய்வாய்ப்படச் செய்தான். அவன் உள்ளே புழுக்களால் உண்ணப்பட்டு இறந்தான்.
