Zechariah 10:2
For the idols have spoken vanity, and the diviners have seen a lie, and have told false dreams; they comfort in vain: therefore they went their way as a flock, they were troubled, because there was no shepherd.

சுரூபங்கள் பொய்யானதைச் சொல்லிற்று; குறிசொல்லுகிறவர்கள் பொய்யை கண்டார்கள்; சொப்பனக்காரர்கள் வீணானதைச் சொல்லி, பயனில்லாததைச் சொல்லி தேற்றினார்கள்; ஆகையால் மக்கள் ஆடுகளைப்போல சிதறி, மேய்ப்பனில்லாததினால் சிறுமைப்பட்டார்கள்.

ஜனங்கள், தங்கள் சிறிய சிலைகளையும், மந்திரத்தையும் பயன்படுத்தி வருங்காலத்தை அறிந்துக்கொள்ள முயல்வார்கள். ஆனால் அவை பயனற்றதாகும். அந்த ஜனங்கள் தரிசனங்களைப் பார்த்து, அவர்கள் கனவுகளைப்பற்றி சொல்வார்கள். ஆனால் இது வீணானது. அவைகள் பொய்கள். எனவே ஜனங்கள் உதவிக்காக அங்கும் இங்கும் அலைந்து ஆடுகளைப்போல் கதறுவார்கள். ஆனால் அவர்களை வழிகாட்டி அழைத்துச் செல்ல மேய்ப்பன் எவரும் இருக்கமாட்டார்கள்.
