Ruth 3:13
Tarry this night, and it shall be in the morning, that if he will perform unto you the part of a kinsman, well; let him do the kinsman's part: but if he will not do the part of a kinsman to you, then will I do the part of a kinsman to you, as the LORD lives: lie down until the morning.

இன்று இரவு தங்கியிரு; நாளைக்கு அவன் உன்னை உறவின்முறைப்படித் திருமணம்செய்யச் சம்மதித்தால் நல்லது, அவன் திருமணம் செய்யட்டும்; அவன் உன்னைத் திருமணம்செய்ய விருப்பமில்லாதிருந்தால் நான் உன்னை உறவின்முறைப்படித் திருமணம்செய்வேன் என்று கர்த்தருடைய ஜீவனைக்கொண்டு ஆணையிடுகிறேன்; விடியற்காலம்வரை படுத்துக்கொண்டிரு என்றான்.

இன்று இரவு இங்கேயே தங்கியிரு. காலையில் அவன் உனக்கு உதவுவானா என்று பார்க்கலாம். அவன் உனக்கு உதவுவதாகத் தீர்மானித்துவிட்டால் அது மிகவும் நல்லதாக இருக்கும். ஒருவேளை அவன் மறுத்துவிட்டால், பிறகு கர்த்தருடைய பேரால் ஆணையிட்டுக் கூறுகிறேன், நானே உன்னை மணந்துகொள்வேன். உனக்காக எலிமெலேக்கின் நிலத்தையும் வாங்கித் தருவேன். எனவே காலைவரை இங்கேயே படுத்திரு” என்றான்.
