Then spoke Elisha unto the woman, whose son he had restored to life, saying, Arise, and go you and yours household, and sojourn where ever you can sojourn: for the LORD has called for a famine; and it shall also come upon the land seven years.

எலிசா தான் உயிரோடு எழுப்பின சிறுவனின் தாயை நோக்கி: நீ உன் குடும்பத்தாரோடு எழுந்து புறப்பட்டுப்போய் எங்கேயாவது போய் தங்கியிரு; கர்த்தர் பஞ்சத்தை வரச்செய்வார்; அது ஏழுவருடங்கள் தேசத்தில் இருக்கும் என்று சொல்லியிருந்தான்.

எலிசா தன்னால் உயிர்தரப்பட்ட பிள்ளையின் தாயுடன் பேசிக்கொண்டிருந்தான். அவன், “நீயும் உனது குடும்பத்தாரும் இன்னொரு நாட்டிற்குப் போகவேண்டும். ஏனென்றால் கர்த்தர் இங்கு பஞ்ச காலத்தை உருவாக்க தீர்மானித்துள்ளார். இந்நாட்டில் இப்பஞ்சம் ஏழு ஆண்டுகளுக்கு இருக்கும்” என்றான்.
