And it was so, when Elisha the man of God had heard that the king of Israel had rent his clothes, that he sent to the king, saying, Wherefore have you rent your clothes? let him come now to me, and he shall know that there is a prophet in Israel.

அரசன் வருத்தப்பட்டுத் தன் ஆடைகளைக் கிழித்துக்கொண்டதைப்பற்றி தேவமனிதனான எலிசா அறிந்தான். உடனே தன் தூதுவனை அனுப்பி, “ஏன் உங்கள் ஆடைகளைக் கிழித்துகொண்டீர்கள், நாகமானை என்னிடம் அனுப்புங்கள். அப்போதுதான் அவர்கள் இஸ்ரவேலில் ஒரு தீர்க்கதரிசி இருக்கிறார் என்பதைத் தெரிந்துக்கொள்வார்கள்!” என்று தெரிவித்தான்.
