But we had the sentence of death in ourselves, that we should not trust in ourselves, but in God which raises the dead:

நாங்கள் எங்கள்மேல் நம்பிக்கையாக இல்லாமல், மரித்தவர்களை உயிரோடு எழுப்புகிற தேவன்மேல் நம்பிக்கையாக இருப்பதற்காக, மரணம் வரும் என்று நாங்கள் எங்களுக்குள்ளே உறுதியாக இருந்தோம்.

உண்மையாகவே நாங்கள் இறந்து போவோம் என மனதிற்குள் எண்ணினோம். நம்மீது நம்பிக்கை வைக்காமல் தேவன் மீது நம்பிக்கை வைப்பதை நாம் உணரும் பொருட்டு இது இவ்வகையில் நடந்தது. அவர் மரணத்திலிருந்து மக்களை எழுப்பியவர்.
