Thus says Cyrus king of Persia, All the kingdoms of the earth has the LORD God of heaven given me; and he has charged me to build him an house in Jerusalem, which is in Judah. Who is there among you of all his people? The LORD his God be with him, and let him go up.

அவருடைய மக்கள் எல்லோரிலும் எவன் உங்களுக்குள் இருக்கிறானோ அவன் போகட்டும், அவனுடைய தேவனாகிய கர்த்தர் அவனோடிருப்பாராக என்று பெர்சியாவின் ராஜாவாகிய கோரேஸ் அறிவிக்கிறார் என்று தன் தேசமெங்கும் எழுதியனுப்பி விளம்பரம்செய்தான்.

பெர்சியா அரசனாகிய கோரேசு கூறுவது: பரலோகத்தின் தேவனாகிய கர்த்தர் என்னை பூமி முழுவதற்கும் அரசன் ஆக்கினார். எருசலேமில் அவர் தனக்கொரு ஆலயத்தைக் கட்டும்படி பொறுப்பளித் துள்ளார். இப்பொழுது தேவனுடைய பிள்ளைகளாகிய நீங்கள் எருசலேமிற்குப் போகும்படி விடுவிக்கிறேன். உங்கள் தேவனாகிய கர்த்தர் உங்களோடு இருப்பாராக.
