And brought in the offerings and the tithes and the dedicated things faithfully: over which Cononiah the Levite was ruler, and Shimei his brother was the next.

அவர்கள் அவைகளை ஆயத்தப்படுத்தினபின்பு, அவைகளிலே காணிக்கைகளையும், தசம பாகத்தையும், பரிசுத்தம்செய்யப்பட்டவைகளையும் உண்மையாக எடுத்துவைத்தார்கள்; அவைகளின்மேல் லேவியனாகிய கொனனியா தலைவனும், அவன் தம்பியாகிய சிமேயி இரண்டாவதுமாக இருந்தான்.

பிறகு ஆசாரியர்கள் காணிக்கைகளையும், பத்தில் ஒரு பாகத்தையும் கர்த்தருக்கு மட்டுமே கொடுப்பதற்கென்று இருந்த மற்றப் பொருட்களையும் எடுத்து வைத்தார்கள். இவ்வாறு சேகரிக்கப்பட்ட அனைத்தும் ஆலயத்தின் சேமிப்புԔஅறையில் வைக்கப்பட்டது. இவற்றிற்கு பொறுப்பாளனாக கொனனியா என்ற லேவியன் இருந்தான். அவனது தம்பியாகிய சிமேயு இரண்டாவது நிலை பொறுப்பாளனாக இருந்தான்.
