So Uzziah slept with his fathers, and they buried him with his fathers in the field of the burial which belonged to the kings; for they said, He is a leper: and Jotham his son reigned in his position.

உசியா இறந்த பின்பு, மக்கள் அவனைத் தொழுநோயாளியென்று சொல்லி, அவனை அவன் முன்னோர்களுக்கு அருகில், ராஜாக்களை அடக்கம்செய்கிற இடத்திற்கு அருகிலுள்ள நிலத்திலே அடக்கம்செய்தார்கள்; அவன் மகனாகிய யோதாம் அவனுடைய இடத்தில் ராஜாவானான்.

உசியா மரித்ததும் அவனது முற்பிதாக்களோடு அவனும் அடக்கம் செய்யப்பட்டான். அரசர்களின் கல்லறைகளுக்கு அருகில் உள்ள வயல் வெளிகளில் உசியாவை அடக்கம் செய்தனர். ஜனங்கள், “உசியாவிற்குத் தொழு நோய் இருந்தது” என்றனர் என்பதே இதன் காரணம் யோதாம் புதிய அரசனாக உசியாவின் இடத்தில் அரசேற்றான். யோதாம் உசியாவின் மகன் ஆவான்.
