2 Chronicles 24:20
And the Spirit of God came upon Zechariah the son of Jehoiada the priest, which stood above the people, and said unto them, Thus says God, Why transgress all of you the commandments of the LORD, that all of you cannot prosper? because all of you have forsaken the LORD, he has also forsaken you.

அப்பொழுது தேவனுடைய ஆவி ஆசாரியனாகிய யோய்தாவின் மகனான சகரியாவின்மேல் இறங்கினதால், அவன் மக்களுக்கு எதிரே நின்று: நீங்கள் கர்த்தருடைய கற்பனைகளை மீறுகிறது என்ன? இதனால் நீங்கள் செழிப்படையமாட்டீர்கள் என்று தேவன் சொல்லுகிறார்; நீங்கள் கர்த்தரை விட்டுவிட்டதால் அவர் உங்களைக் கைவிடுவார் என்றான்.

தேவனுடைய ஆவி சகரியா மீது வந்தது. சகரியாவின் தந்தை ஆசாரியனாகிய யோய்தா ஆவான். சகரியா ஜனங்களின் முன்பு நின்று, “தேவன் சொல்வது இதுதான்: ‘நீங்கள் ஏன் கர்த்தருடைய கட்டளைகளுக்குக் கீழ்ப்படிய மறுக்கின்றீர்கள்? நீங்கள் வெற்றியடையமாட்டீர்கள். நீங்கள் கர்த்தரைவிட்டு விலகிவிட்டீர்கள். எனவே கர்த்தரும் உங்களை விட்டு விலகிவிட்டார்!’” என்றான்.
