And the inhabitants of Jerusalem made Ahaziah his youngest son king in his position: for the band of men that came with the Arabians to the camp had slain all the eldest. So Ahaziah the son of Jehoram king of Judah reigned.

யோராமின் இடத்திற்கு எருசலேம் ஜனங்கள் அகசியாவைப் புதிய அரசனாகத் தேர்ந்தெடுத்தனர். அகசியா யோராமின் இளைய மகன் ஆவான். யோராமின் முகாமை அரபியர்களுடன் சேர்ந்துகொண்டு வந்தவர்கள் தாக்கியபோது, யோராமின் மூத்த மகன்களைக் கொன்றுவிட்டனர். எனவே அகசியா மட்டுமே மீதியாகயிருந்ததால் யூதாவின் அரசனானான்.
