For the eyes of the LORD run back and forth throughout the whole earth, to show himself strong in the behalf of them whose heart is perfect toward him. Herein you have done foolishly: therefore from henceforth you shall have wars.

தம்மைப்பற்றி உத்தம இருதயத்தோடிருக்கிறவர்களுக்குத் தம்முடைய வல்லமையை வெளிப்படுத்த, கர்த்தருடைய கண்கள் பூமியெங்கும் உலாவிக்கொண்டிருக்கிறது; இந்தக் காரியத்தில் அறிவில்லாதவராயிருந்தீர்; ஆகையால் இதுமுதற்கொண்டு உமக்கு போர்கள் ஏற்படும் என்றான்.

கர்த்தருடைய கண்கள் பூமியில் உள்ள அனைவர் மீதும் சுற்றிவரும். தனக்கு உண்மையானவர்களை அவர் தேடி அவர்களை பலமுள்ளவர் ஆக்குவார். ஆசா நீ முட்டாள்தனமாக நடந்துக்கொண்டாய். எனவே இப்போது முதல் நீ போர்களை சந்திப்பாய்” என்றான்.
