And it came to pass, while Saul talked unto the priest, that the noise that was in the host of the Philistines went on and increased: and Saul said unto the priest, Withdraw yours hand.

சவுல் ஆசாரியனாகிய அகியாவிடம் பேசிக்கொண்டே தேவனுடைய ஆலோசனைக்குக் காத்திருந்தான். பெலிஸ்தர்களின் முகாமில் கூச்சலும் குழப்பமும் மிகுந்தன. இதனால் சவுல் பொறுமையை இழந்து, ஆசாரியனாகிய அகியாவிடம், “இது போதும்! உன் கைகளைத் தளர்த்தி ஜெபத்தை நிறுத்து!” என்றான்.
