And all the people said unto Samuel, Pray for your servants unto the LORD your God, that we die not: for we have added unto all our sins this evil, to ask us a king.

சாமுவேலைப் பார்த்து: நாங்கள் சாகாதபடி உம்முடைய தேவனாகிய கர்த்தரிடத்தில் உம்முடைய அடியாருக்காக விண்ணப்பம் செய்யும்; நாங்கள் செய்த எல்லாப் பாவங்களோடும் எங்களுக்கு ஒரு ராஜா வேண்டும் என்று கேட்ட இந்தப் பாவத்தையும் சேர்த்துக்கொண்டோம் என்று மக்கள் எல்லோரும் சொன்னார்கள்.
