Whosoever abides in him sins not: whosoever sins has not seen him, neither known him.

அவரில் நிலைத்திருக்கிற எவனும் பாவம் செய்கிறதில்லை; பாவம் செய்கிற எவனும் அவரைக் காணவும் இல்லை, அவரை அறியவும் இல்லை.
Tamil Easy Reading Version
எனவே கிறிஸ்துவில் வாழ்கிற மனிதனும் பாவத்தைச் செய்வதில்லை. ஒருவன் தொடர்ந்து பாவம் செய்தால், அவன் கிறிஸ்துவை உண்மையாகவே புரிந்துகொண்டதில்லை என்றும், கிறிஸ்துவை அறிந்துகொண்டதே இல்லை. என்றுமே பொருள்படும்.
