1 Chronicles 22:9
Behold, a son shall be born to you, who shall be a man of rest; and I will give him rest from all his enemies round about: for his name shall be Solomon, and I will give peace and quietness unto Israel in his days.

இதோ, உனக்குப் பிறக்கப்போகிற மகன் அமைதியுள்ள ஆண்மகனாக இருப்பான்; சுற்றி இருக்கும் அவனுடைய எதிரிகளையெல்லாம் விலக்கி அவனை அமர்ந்திருக்கச் செய்வேன்; ஆகையால் அவனுடைய பெயர் சாலொமோன் என்னப்படும்; அவனுடைய நாட்களில் இஸ்ரவேலின்மேல் சமாதானத்தையும் அமைதியையும் கொடுப்பேன்.

ஆனால் உனக்கு ஒரு மகன் இருப்பான். அவன் சமாதான புருஷனாக இருப்பான். நான் உனது மகனுக்குச் சமாதானத்திற்குரிய காலத்தைக் கொடுப்பேன். அவனைச் சுற்றியுள்ள பகைவர்கள் அவனுக்குத் தொந்தரவு செய்யமாட்டார்கள். அவனது பெயர் சாலொமோன். சாலொமோன் அரசனாக இருக்கும்போது இஸ்ரவேல் ஜனங்களுக்குச் சமாதானமும் அமைதியும் தருவேன்.
