For I have not dwelt in an house since the day that I brought up Israel unto this day; but have gone from tent to tent, and from one tabernacle to another.

இஸ்ரவேலர்களை எகிப்திலிருந்து வெளியே அழைத்து வந்த நாள் முதல் இன்று வரை நான் ஒரு வீட்டிலும் வசித்ததில்லை. நான் கூடாரத்துடனேயே திரிந்து கொண்டிருந்தேன். இஸ்ரவேலர்களுக்காகச் சிறப்பான தலைவர்களைத் தேர்ந்தெடுத்தேன். அவர்கள், எனது ஜனங்களின் மேய்ப்பர்களைப் போன்றவர் கள். இஸ்ரவேலுக்குள் நான் பல்வேறு இடங்களுக்குத் திரிந்து கொண்டிருந்தபோது, நான் அந்தத் தலைவர்களிடம் எனக்குக் கேதுரு மரங்களால் ஆலயம் கட்டுமாறு சொன்னதில்லை. எனவே நீங்கள் ஏன் கேதுரு மரங்களால் ஆலயம் கட்டவில்லை?’ என்று அவர்களை நான் ஒரு பொழுதும் கேட்டதில்லை.
