Benaiah the son of Jehoiada, the son of a valiant man of Kabzeel, who had done many acts; he slew two lionlike men of Moab: also he went down and slew a lion in a pit in a snowy day.

பெலசாலியாகிய யோய்தாவின் மகனும், கப்சேயேல் ஊரைச்சேர்ந்தவனுமாகிய பெனாயாவும் செய்கைகளில் வல்லவனாக இருந்தான்; அவன் மோவாப் தேசத்தின் இரண்டு வலிமையான சிங்கங்களைக் கொன்றதுமட்டுமல்லாமல், உறைந்த மழைபெய்த நாளில் அவன் ஒரு குகைக்குள்ளே இறங்கிப்போய், ஒரு சிங்கத்தைக் கொன்றான்.
