உங்கள் தேவனாகிய கர்த்தரையே சேவிக்கக்கடவீர்கள்; அவர் உன் அப்பத்தையும் உன் தண்ணீரையும் ஆசீர்வதிப்பார். வியாதியை உன்னிலிருந்து விலக்குவேன்.

கர்த்தரின் ஆசீர்வாதமே ஐசுவரியத்தைத் தரும்; அதனோடே அவர் வேதனையைக் கூட்டார்.

இன்று நான் உனக்கு விதிக்கிற உன் தேவனாகிய கர்த்தருடைய கட்டளைகளின்படியெல்லாம் செய்ய நீ கவனமாயிருக்கும்படிக்கு, அவர் சத்தத்திற்கு உண்மையாய்ச் செவிகொடுப்பாயானால், உன் தேவனாகிய கர்த்தர் பூமியிலுள்ள சகல ஜாதிகளிலும் உன்னை மேன்மையாக வைப்பார்.

அநேக துன்மார்க்கருக்குள்ள செல்வத்திரட்சியைப்பார்க்கிலும், நீதிமானுக்குள்ள கொஞ்சமே நல்லது.

நீங்கள் திரளாய் விதைத்தும் கொஞ்சமாய் அறுத்துக்கொண்டுவருகிறீர்கள்; நீங்கள் புசித்தும் திருப்தியாகவில்லை; குடித்தும் பரிபூரணமடையவில்லை; நீங்கள் வஸ்திரம் உடுத்தியும் ஒருவனுக்கும் குளிர்விடவில்லை; கூலியைச் சம்பாதிக்கிறவன் பொத்தலான பையிலே போடுகிறவனாய் அதைச் சம்பாதிக்கிறான்.
