দায়ূদ এবং সৈন্যাধ্যক্ষরা আসফের পুত্র হেমন আর যিদূথূনের ঈশ্বরের দৈব্বাণী বীণা, তানপুরা, খোল ও কর্তালের সঙ্গে গানের মাধ্যমে পরিবেশন করার জন্য পৃথক করেছিলেন| এই কাজে যাঁরা নিযুক্ত হয়েছিলেন তাঁদের তালিকা নিম্নরূপ:

পবিত্র সিন্দুকটি যাজকদের বহন করতে বলবে| সাতজন যাজককে মেষের তৈরী শিঙা নিতে বলবে| সেই সিন্দুকটির সামনে দিয়ে যাজকদের য়েতে বলবে| সপ্তম দিনে শহরটিকে সাতবার প্রদক্ষিণ করবে| ঐ দিন যাজকদের যাবার সময় শিঙা বাজাতে বলবে|

সাক্ষ্যসিন্দুকের সামনে কাজকর্ম করবার জন্য দায়ূদ কিছু লেবীয়কে নিয়োগ করলেন| এই সমস্ত লেবীয়দের মূল কাজ ছিল প্রভুর স্তবগান ও প্রশংসা করা|
