Revelation 13:17
যাদের পশুর নামের ছাপ ও সংখ্যাসূচক ছাপ ছিল না তারা কেনা বেচার অধিকার হারাল৷

তাদের যন্ত্রণার ধোঁয়া যুগপর্য়ায়ে যুগে যুগে উপরে উঠতে থাকবে৷ যাঁরা সেই পশু ও তাঁর মূর্তির আরাধনা করে অথবা য়ে কেউ তার নামের ছাপ ধারণ করে, তারা দিনে কি রাতে কখনও বিশ্রাম পাবে না৷’

এই পশু কি ক্ষুদ্র, কি মহান, ধনী ও দরিদ্র, স্বাধীন ও ক্রীতদাস, সকলকে তাদের ডানহাতে অথবা কপালে এক বিশেষ চিহ্নের ছাপ দিতে বাধ্য করাল৷

য়ে বুদ্ধিমান সে ঐ পশুর সংখ্যা গণনা করুক৷ এরজন্য বিজ্ঞতার প্রযোজন৷ ঐ সংখ্যাটি একটি মানুষের নামের সংখ্যা আর সেই সংখ্যা হচ্ছে
Revelation 3:12
য়ে বিজযী হয় তাকে আমি আমার ঈশ্বরের মন্দিরে একটি স্তন্ভ করব, আর তাকে কখনও সেই মন্দির থেকে বাইরে য়েতে হবে না৷ তার ওপর আমি আমার ঈশ্বরের নাম আর আমার ঈশ্বরের নগরের নাম লিখব৷ সেই নগর হল নতুন জেরুশালেম৷ সেই নগর ঈশ্বরের কাছ থেকে স্বর্গ হতে নেমে আসছে৷ আমার নতুন নামও আমি তার ওপর লিখে দেব৷

এরপর ঐ দুজন স্বর্গদূতের পেছনে আর এক স্বর্গদূত এসে চিত্কার করে বললেন, ‘যদি কেউ সেই পশু ও তার প্রতিমার আরাধনা করে আর কপালে অথবা হাতে তার ছাপধারণ করে

তার কপালে রহস্যপূর্ণ এক নাম লেখা আছে:মহতী বাবিল, পৃথিবীর বেশ্যাদেরএবং পৃথিবীর যাবতীয় ঘৃন্য জিনিসের জননী৷

তারা তাঁর শ্রীমুখ দর্শন করবে; আর ঈশ্বরের নাম তাদের কপালে লেখা থাকবে৷
