யூதாவின் மகன்கள் ஏர், ஓனான், சேலா என்பவர்கள்; இந்த மூன்று மகன்களும் சூவாவின் மகளான கானானிய பெண்ணிடம் அவனுக்குப் பிறந்தவர்கள்; ஏர் என்னும் யூதாவின் மூத்த மகன் கர்த்தரின் பார்வைக்குப் பொல்லாதவனானதால் அவர் அவனைக் கொன்றுபோட்டார்.
