তখন দ্বাররক্ষীরা পিতরকে বলল, ‘তুমিও সেই লোকটার শিষ্যদের মধ্যে একজন নও কি?’পিতর বললেন, ‘না, আমি নই!’

তখন মহাযাজকের পরিচিত শিষ্য বাইরে এসে য়ে বালিকাটি ফটক পাহারায় ছিল তাকে বলে পিতরকে ভেতরে নিয়ে গেলেন৷
