যীশু তাঁর মাকে সেখানে দাঁড়িয়ে থাকতে দেখলেন আর য়ে শিষ্যকে তিনি ভালোবাসতেন, দেখলেন তিনিও সেখানে দাঁড়িয়ে আছেন৷ তখন তিনি তাঁর মাকে বললেন, ‘হে নারী, ঐ দেখ তোমার ছেলে৷’
