Jeremiah 5:27
এই সব দুষ্ট লোকদের, যারা মিথ্যায ভরা, তাদের বাড়ীগুলো হল পাখীতে ভরা খাঁচাসমূহের মতো| তাদের মিথ্যাগুলি তাদের ধনী ও শক্তিশালী করেছে|

হ্যাঁ, অন্যায় কাজ করে য়ে ধনী হচ্ছে তার পক্ষে সেটা খুবই খারাপ হবে| সেই লোকটি নিরাপদ জায়গায় বাঁচার জন্য ওই কাজগুলি করছে| সে ভাবছে য়ে তার কাছ থেকে অন্য লোকদের চুরি করা সে বন্ধ করবে; কিন্তু তার ভাগ্যে খারাপ ঘটনাই ঘটবে|
पপ্রত্যাদেশ 18:2
তিনি প্রবল শব্দে চেঁচিয়ে উঠলেন:‘পতন হল! মহানগরী বাবিলের পতন হল! সে ভূতের আবাসে পরিণত হয়েছে৷ সেই নগরী হয়েছে সব রকমের অশুচি আত্মার আবাস৷ সে যতো অশুচি পাখীদের বাসা এবং যতো নোংরা ও ঘৃন্য পশুদের নগরীতে পরিণত হয়েছে৷
