কখনও কখনও মন্দ লোকরা তাদের খারাপ কাজের জন্য সঙ্গে সঙ্গে শাস্তি পায় না| এজন্য তারা আরো খারাপ কাজে নিজেদের লিপ্ত করে|

যখন তারা এক সঙ্গে খাওয়া-দাওযা করছিল, তখন ইশ্মায়েল ও তার দশ জন সঙ্গী তাদের তরবারি বের করেছিল এবং গদলিযের ওপর আক্রমণ করে তাকে হত্যা করেছিল| গদলিয় ছিল সেই জন য়ে বাবিলের রাজার দ্বারা যিহূদার রাজ্যপাল নিযুক্ত হয়েছিল|
पশিষ্যচরিত 28:4
তখন সেই দ্বীপের লোকেরা তার হাতে সাপটাকে ঝুলতে দেখে বলাবলি করতে লাগল, ‘এ লোকটা নিশ্চয় খুনী, সমুদ্রের ঝড়ের হাত থেকে বাঁচলেও ন্যায় একে বাঁচতে দিল না৷’
