তখন যাজকবৃন্দ ভাব্বাদীগণ এবং সমস্ত সাধারণ মানুষ শাসকবৃন্দের সঙ্গে কথা বলল| তারা বলল, “যিরমিয়কে হত্যা করতেই হবে| সে জেরুশালেম সম্বন্ধে অমঙ্গলজনক কথাবার্তা বলে বেড়িযেছে| আপনারাও সে সব শুনেছেন|”

তখন তারা কয়েকজন লোককে ঘুষ দিয়ে মিথ্যে বলাল; যাঁরা বলল, ‘আমরা শুনেছি য়ে স্তিফান মোশি ও ঈশ্বরের বিরুদ্ধে নিন্দা করছে৷’

ইহুদীরা তাঁকে বলল, ‘আমাদের য়ে বিধি-ব্যবস্থা আছে, সেই ব্যবস্থানুসারে ওর প্রাণদণ্ড হওযা উচিত, কারণ ও নিজেকে ঈশ্বরের পুত্র বলে দাবী করে৷’

এর উত্তরে তারা পীলাতকে বলল, ‘এই লোক যদি দোষী না হত, তাহলে আমরা তোমার হাতে একে তুলে দিতাম না৷’

প্রভু, আমাকে হত্যা করবার জন্য ওরা য়ে পরিকল্পনা করেছিল আপনি তা জানেন| ওদের এই অপরাধ ক্ষমা করবেন না| ওদের পাপকে মুছে দেবেন না| আমার শএুদের ধ্বংস করে দিন| যখন আপনি রুদ্ধ হবেন তখন ওদের শাস্তি দেবেন!
