আদিপুস্তক 38:16
যিহূদা তার কাছে গিয়ে বলল, “এস আমার সাথে শোও|” (যিহূদা জানত না য়ে এই ছিল তামর, তার পুত্রবধূ|)সে বলল, “আমায় কত দেবেন?”

| unto | אֵלֶ֜יהָ | ʾēlêhā | ay-LAY-ha |
| by her | אֶל | ʾel | el |
| the way, | הַדֶּ֗רֶךְ | hadderek | ha-DEH-rek |
| and said, | וַיֹּ֙אמֶר֙ | wayyōʾmer | va-YOH-MER |
| to, Go | הָֽבָה | hābâ | HA-va |
| I pray thee, | נָּא֙ | nāʾ | na |
| in come me let | אָב֣וֹא | ʾābôʾ | ah-VOH |
| unto | אֵלַ֔יִךְ | ʾēlayik | ay-LA-yeek |
| thee; (for | כִּ֚י | kî | kee |
| knew he | לֹ֣א | lōʾ | loh |
| not | יָדַ֔ע | yādaʿ | ya-DA |
| that | כִּ֥י | kî | kee |
| she | כַלָּת֖וֹ | kallātô | ha-la-TOH |
| law.) in daughter his was | הִ֑וא | hiw | heev |
| And she said, | וַתֹּ֙אמֶר֙ | wattōʾmer | va-TOH-MER |
