তাই, হে মনুষ্যসন্তান, এখন তুমি ইস্রায়েল পরিবার সমূহের কাছে এই কথা বল, ‘প্রভু আমার সদাপ্রভু বলেন: ইস্রায়েলের লোকরা আমার সম্বন্ধে ভয়ঙ্কর সব কথা বলছে এবং আমার বিরুদ্ধে বিদ্রোহ করেছে|

“কিন্তু যদি কোন ভাল লোক ভাল হওয়া থেকে বিরত হয়ে দুষ্টলোকের মত আচরণ করে, অন্যায় করে, নানা ঘৃণিত কাজ করে তাহলে সে কি বাঁচবে? সে ক্ষেত্রে ঈশ্বর তার পূর্বের সত্কাজগুলি স্মরণে আনবেন না| সে যে সত্য লঙঘন ও পাপ করেছে তার জন্যেই মারা যাবে|”
