Deuteronomy 31:23
তখন প্রভু নূনের পুত্র যিহোশূয়কে বললেন, “শক্ত হও, সাহসী হও| আমি ইস্রায়েলীয়দের য়ে দেশ দেব বলে প্রতিজ্ঞা করেছি, সেই দেশে তুমি তাদের নিয়ে যাবে আর আমি তোমার সাথে থাকব|”

প্রভু মোশিকে বললেন, “এখন তোমার মৃত্যুর সময় হয়ে এসেছে| যিহোশূয়কে নিয়ে সমাগম তাঁবুর কাছে এস| আমি বলব যিহোশূয়কে কি করতে হবে|” তাই মোশি ও যিহোশূয় সমাগম তাঁবুতে গেলেন|
দ্বিতীয় বিবরণ 3:28
তুমি অবশ্যই যিহোশূয়কে নির্দেশ দেবে| তুমি অবশ্যই তাকে উত্সাহিত করবে এবং তাকে সবল করবে| কারণ যর্দন নদী অতিক্রম করার কাজে যিহোশূয় লোকদের নেতৃত্ব দেবে| তুমি কেবল দেশটি দেখতে পাবে, কিন্তু যিহোশূয় তাদের ঐ দেশে নিয়ে যাবে| সে তাদের ঐ দেশটির অধিগ্রহণে এবং সেখানে বাস করতে সাহায্য করবে|’
দ্বিতীয় বিবরণ 31:3
কিন্তু প্রভু তোমাদের লোকদের সেই দেশে পথ দেখিয়ে নিয়ে যাবেন| প্রভু তোমাদের জন্য এই সমস্ত জাতিকে ধ্বংস করবেন এবং তোমরা তাদের দেশ ছিনিয়ে নেবে| প্রভুর প্রতিজ্ঞা অনুসারে যিহোশূয় তোমাদের পথ দেখাবেন|

মোশির সঙ্গে আমি য়েমন ছিলাম তোমার সঙ্গেও আমি ঠিক তেমনি থাকব| কেউ তোমাকে কোন দিন রুখতে পারবে না| আমি তোমাকে ছেড়ে কখনই যাব না| আমি তোমাকে কখনই ত্যাগ করব না|

পরবর্তীকালে যিহোশূয় আমাদের পিতৃপুরুষদের পরিচালিত করলে তাঁরা ভিন্ন জাতির দেশ দখল করলেন৷ আমাদের লোকেরা সেই দেশে প্রবেশ করলে ঈশ্বর সেখানকার লোকদের সেই দেশ ছেড়ে চলে য়েতে বাধ্য করলেন৷ আমাদের লোকেরা এই নতুন দেশে গেলে ঐ তাঁবুও সঙ্গে নিয়ে এলেন৷ পিতৃপুরুষদের কাছ থেকে তাঁরা এই তাঁবু পেয়েছিলেন৷ সেই তাঁবু রাজা দাযূদের সময় পর্যন্ত তাঁদের কাছে ছিল৷
