প্রেরিতেরা আজ্ঞা অনুসারে ভোর বেলায় মন্দিরে গিয়ে শিক্ষা প্রচার করতে লাগলেন৷এদিকে মহাযাজক ও তার সঙ্গীরা, ইহুদী সমাজের গন্যমান্য লোকদের এক মহাসভা ডাকল; আর প্রেরিতদের সেখানে নিয়ে আসার জন্য কারাগারে লোক পাঠালো৷
