Acts 13:14
তাঁরা পর্গা থেকে আবার যাত্রা শুরু করে পিষিদিয়ার আন্তিয়খিয়ায় এসে উপস্থিত হলেন৷ এক বিশ্রামবারে পৌল ও বার্ণবা ইহুদীদের এক সমাজ-গৃহে গিয়ে বসলেন৷

এই ঘটনার পর ইকনিয় ও আন্তিয়খিয়া থেকে কয়েকজন ইহুদী এসে লোকদের পৌলের বিরুদ্ধে প্ররোচিত করল৷ তারা পৌলের ওপর পাথর ছুঁড়ল, তাঁকে টেনে এনে শহরের বাইরে নিয়ে গেল৷ তারা মনে করল পৌল বুঝি মারাই গেছেন৷

এরপর পৌল সমাজ-গৃহে গেলেন, আর সেখানে তিন মাস ধরে নির্ভীকভাবে কথা বললেন এবং যুক্তিসহ ঈশ্বরের রাজ্যের বিষয়ে বুঝিয়ে দিলেন৷

সেই শহরে তাঁরা সুসমাচার প্রচার করলেন, আর বহুলোক যীশুর অনুগামী হোল৷ এরপর তাঁরা লুস্ত্রা হয়ে ইকনিয় ও পরে আন্তিয়খিয়ায় ফিরে এলেন৷

পৌল ও বার্ণবা যখন সমাজ-গৃহ থেকে চলে যাচ্ছেন, তখন লোকেরা অনুরোধ করল য়েন পরের বিশ্রামবারে তারা আরো বিস্তারিতভাবে ঐসব কথা তাদের জানান৷

এরপর তিনি সরাসরি সমাজ-গৃহে গিয়ে যীশুর কথা প্রচার করতে লাগলেন৷ তিনি বললেন, ‘এই যীশুই হচ্ছেন ঈশ্বরের পুত্র৷’
